The first part of the NJC’s photographic master class is in progress in Kaliningrad, Russia. Seven young Nordic photojournalists and seven young Russian photographers are busy developing ideas and inspiring each other before going on photo reportage different places in the region.
On arrival the Nordic participants met with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the city. The message to the young group was strong and clear: Keep up the good work!
Later the group had a presentation of themselves and their work at the local Gallery Vorota. They received a lot of valuable information and met with good contacts in Kaliningrad to be able to complete their story ideas.
In a month, everyone will meet again in Reykjavik, Iceland, where the Russian participants will photograph a story and then gather the entire group to edit the stories and discuss how they are best told.
